About Us
Where did our name Grace Hill Come from? Centuries ago, there was a hill known as Golgotha which means “the place of the skull.” A horrible place of execution, it was for people in Jesus’ time a hill of death. But an amazing change took place as Jesus was crucified – Death Hill became Grace Hill.
We are part of a Presbyterian denomination known as A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). ECO churches in the greater bay area include Grace Hill Church, Menlo Church, Vintage Faith Church, Compass Church, West Valley Presbyterian Church, and many others.
Our Values Include:
Grace – The amazing thing about grace is that it doesn’t start with us, but rather it starts with God reaching out to each of us. At Grace Hill we make space for God’s grace in each of our lives.
Kinship – Looking for a home, a place to belong and to be cared for? That’s kinship! That’s Family! That’s a Church! Wherever you are in this world – find a church and you’ve found home. You too can call Grace Hill Church your home.
Justice – What does God want from us? To do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Seek what is right, fair and good for all people, have a heart if grace, and be humble in God’s presence.
Growth – We are a church where people think deeply and experience the things of God. We strive to develop people of all ages – children, youth, adults – in their gifts of leadership, service, and knowledge.
