Care and Compassion
Grace Hill Church displays the love of Jesus by reaching out to both our local and broader communities to share our time, facilities, and financial gifts with those in need. Motivated by Colossians 3:12 we are told as God’s chosen people, we are to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. By meeting the needs of those in our community we share the love of Jesus.
Our facilities are used by the Stanford Blood Center to conduct blood drives, the Boy Scouts of America to hold meetings, the Morgan Hill Wind Symphony to hold rehearsals and recitals, home schooling groups, and many others. The Little Sonshine School is located on our campus. If you wish to contribute, learn more about any of our outreach programs listed below, or to use our facilities, please complete and submit our contact form.
Deacons’ Food Pantry – The Grace Hill Deacons’ Food Pantry was established to address the growing need for food support in our local community. The pantry includes canned and non-perishable food, toiletry, clothing, and other essential items for those in need.
Friday Night Meals – Our Community Suppers outreach provides a FREE, hot, take-out supper to those in our community that could use a helping hand. The meals are available every Friday evening between 6-7 PM in our Fellowship Hall. The meals are provided through cooperation with Martha’s Kitchen, a nonprofit organization located in San Jose.
Compassion Journey – For over 60 years, Compassion International has been making a difference in the lives of children growing up in some of the most impoverished places on earth. Compassion Journey helps connect people to the realities of children growing up in extreme poverty by Child Sponsorship. Our Church members sponsor a number of children, encouraging them through prayer, letter writing and financial support. We also open our doors to host Compassion Journey events.
School Backpack Drive – Grace Hill Church works with local schools to conduct an annual School Backpack Drive, providing school supplies to children in Morgan Hill. Church members provide backpacks filled with notebooks, binders, paper, pencils, crayons, and other school supplies that are gifted to school children throughout the city.
Operation Christmas Child – Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization, has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child is a Samaritan’s Purse program supported by Grace Hill Church members. Each year at Christmas time we collect “Shoe Boxes” filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. The project delivers not only the joy of what, for many kids, is their first gift ever, but also gives them a tangible expression of God’s love.
Advent Home – Grace Hill is a proud supporter of Advent Group Ministries, a faith-motivated, non-profit, social-service agency providing counseling and addiction recovery services to people of all ages and income levels since 1985. Their mission is to empower people to restore relationships and break the destructive cycles of abuse and addiction through the hope and healing made possible by Christ’s love and quality treatment. Their program, Advent Home, provides a clean and sober home environment to chemically dependent adolescent boys and girls. Intensive and structured services provide the youth with the tools they need to live a clean and sober lifestyle.
Informed Choices – Serving the community by providing free pregnancy tests, ultra-sounds, education, and material support to women and families in the southern Santa Clara County, Informed Choices is a Gospel-Centered, Life-Affirming Pregnancy Medical Clinic. Informed Choices motto is simply: “Supporting Women… Upholding Life…”. Informed Choices is one of the organizations we support.
